been looking between phones, i been looking at t-mobile and tracfone prepaid fones. my question is does tracfone charge for incoming calls also like t-mobile does?
i been thinking of getting maybe one of each, t-mobile fones work on the gsm which would be great when i am out of the country, just switch sim cards.
tracfone would be real cool if it doesn't charge for incoming calls.
if tracfone does, will probably get a one pay by the month for every day use and the t-mobile for just my wife and i communicating with each other and to take with us overseas.
Well i used tracfone for a while, They were good, anytime you connect 0-60 seconds it counts as 1 minute, so if you go 1 minute and 2 seconds it counts as 2 minutes. Incoming calls use up your minutes too.
But i just got sprint because for a while now i couldnt get any calls, or they would drop. No reception anywhere anymore, dunno what happened but oh well. Hope this helps.
yeah, they do charge for incoming calls. if you use your cell phone a lot,pre-paid is not the way to go,you could find a monthly plan cheaper. I have a trac phone, but I use it for less than 10 minutes a month, mostly for emergencies,so it is the cheapest route for me.
I have both At&t and trac phones.Trac phones charge you for both incoming and outgoing But they are having a promo right now that for every 60min I buy, they give me an addl 30min free. The nice thing about it is,if I dont use it for up to three months,I still retain the same number and dont pay a monthly service fee.I bought one for my 14yr old daughter after getting a gazillion dollar At&t bill. The day I gave it to her,I put 60min on it.2 hours later she said she had used up all her minutes.I said too bad,so sad.Now you will have to wait until next payday before I put any more minutes on your phone. This happened twice. Now she uses her minutes more wisely!
i am going to go with t-mobile prepaid most likely, do to being able to switch out the sim card when overseas.
but as for contract fone, do they charge for incoming also? and do they charge for international incoming?
i am looking between verizon and at&t. both are a bit pricey at $40 a month, but will use it for the main fone for people to call me on, then use the prepaid just so my wife and i can talk a bit and let each other know when we need to be picked up from work and college (only one car, 2 people). so the prepaid would not be used much.
i think that is the cheapest way, i might even go with t-mobile contract for $30 a month i seen.
