no power
i recently purchased a 83 f-250 with a 6.9 diesel. it had been stored and ran once a year for the last 16 years. the truck ran great but when the fuel was added to the rear tank it didnt seem to switch tanks. the truck now has more power at startup but the further you drive the less power the truck has and it will begin to stall. but also the transmission will shift hard and it will also downshift. i changed the fuel filter and added fuel cleaner but the problem still pursists. ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Does it start to cloud light blue smoke as it poweres out? If so, look for a place it's pulling air into the fuel lines. You may end up replacing the tank to tank valve on the frame as they have been known to pull air.
