well, i just got back from North Carolina.....truck did great and i got awesome MPG....20.2 going down and 20.7 coming back....i was very pleased with it and everything worked flawlessly....
yeah i was pretty happy with that...i held 65 just about the entire time....sometimes a little faster but not often at all...i knew it was doing good when we started driving down....140 miles to the first 1/4 tank....that was much better than my 10 mile trips i do most of the time...so, then i watched it closer and calculated it when i got into Kill Devil Hills.....Filled the truck up and did some math and walah......
it was a little over 410 miles from my place to KDH and i only used 3/4 of a tank.....87 octane too....and the truck is totally stock....no chip or anything...
so, if you guys take it easy and keep your foot off the skinny pedal on trips on highway you should do pretty good on gas....i'm very pleased...
i wasnt saying that you had the trailer on the back i was just dreaming of that mpg with my trailer on the back...sorry for the confusion.
as for the mpg. its hard to keep your foot out of it around ATL traffic...but yes, i should try...if not for the mpg just to make eveyone else mad for me taking my time.

oh, ok.....no problem
i have a trailer...i usually get 15 with it loaded down....but like i said...i'm easy on the pedal....i'll get there a little later than everyone else but i'll get there safe and sound...
That is some excellent mileage i bet your happy grats
yeah, extremely happy....it it basically a flat drive all the way down and back...not to many hills.....the biggest hills i hit were going over bridges...so, that helps also but all in all it was great to see the 20 something MPG hit...
Before I got my '07, I once drove my buddy's 2005 Ram. This thing had the fuel economy gauge in the center display. When I kept the cruise at 68, the truck got over 19...when I set the cruise at 73, it got 16.1...
You pay a lot more for that extra speed...not worth it to me.
I got 20 on a hunting trip to Montana last fall for 1 tank. The rest was around 18 or so. We had the cruise set at 75-85 mph(sometimes a lil more) the whole way. Normally I get 16 or so normal driving around here some freeway some city. 5.4L w/3.55 SCAB. I agree the right foot has a HUGE impact on mpg!! When I first got the truck I did try to keep rpm's under 2000 rpm and drive the speed limit for 1 tank and got a hair over 18....just can't keep my foot out of it
though ...

Yeah little to no hills helps as well as a calm day compared to a windy day
