Relocating fuel tank question
Im relocating my fuel tank on a 04 f550 6.0 from a rear tank (where the spare tire would be on a f250) to a mid-ship on the frame in order to mount a dynamic self loading wrecker body. I can get my hands on the tank, mounting hardware and stuff but was wondering about shortening up the fuel lines. Im thinking that theres not enough pressure (since the fuel pressure on a 6.0 is concentrated via oil pressure at the injectors) to keep me from just using rubber hose and hose clamps and cutting the lines short. Or am I all wet on this and heading for diesel fuel sprayed everywhere? But im hoping there is a kit out there somewhere for just this sort of thing.

Is the lift pump on the frame? I had a tech tell me it was not in the tank. Maybe I can buy the factory line for the new tank if its not too far down the frame since that will be the first available disconnect point.

Hey Tow Stroker........ do u still have your rear tank aval.....How many gallons did it hold... I am thinking of trying to install one on my 250 as a spare.......
