IPR Valve
I just finished pulling the HPOP and IPR off of my truck (Thanks for step by step instructions Rubber Duck!). Since my new parts won't be here until Monday I decided to play around with the IPR. I connected 12 volts to it and as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything. There is a little plunger type rod down in the hole on the end that goes into the HPOP. It is spring-loaded pushing out towards the end of the tube. I took a drill bit and pushed it down (not a very strong spring) and then hooked the 12 volts up again. Still nothing. Anybody know what should be happening here? Maybe this is normal?

You may need to disassemble it even further to see the parts that move. It's an electromagnetic valve that's controlled by the PCM. It's fed 12V and switched On/Off from 0% to 50% duty cycle.
