Good 300 Cheap
Runs like a swiss watch - doesn't burn a drop of oil. Probably good for at least another 100K.
I just hate to see a good 300 go to the yard. I replaced all valves and installed bronze guides about 30k ago.
Also converted to Duraspark and NEW, not rebuilt, non-feedback carb with manual choke.
It's in an 85 Bronco, 3 SP OD 3:55 rear - was a daily driver until recently.
The Bronco is not terminal but does have typical rust all around.
Passenger side caliper stuck on me about 3 weeks ago. I unstuck it. It is drivable.
But - Front brakes need attention. And; Steering box has recently developed a leak.
No other issues.
Got three other vehicles just ain't got time for it - Sniff....Sniff
Email me
And I can get one local here for the same cost.
I had to ask though because I actually have some folks in Bucks Co. (Haven't seen 'em in years though...) Cousin Vera has a house that neighbors Washington Crossing Park.
It seems lifts, big tires and fancy wheels are most important these days.
Here is a simple motor that will take a hard beating and still last forever.
This Bronco has been driven on the NJ, Delaware, VA and Carolina beaches,
and through the bigest blizzards of the NE. What I think made this truck so
agile was it didn't have all the weight a big V8 and auto trans adds.
The guy interested is planning on using it to replace the motor on his chipper.
300s were used a lot in comercial equipmet.
