Which way am I going?
Hey all! I'm having a problem with my Shifter on the Column. The orange tab that displays which gear you are in is not in the right position. When I am in Park, it sits over P, but when I put it in Drive, it hovers between R and D. When in Reverse, it is the same, hovers between P and R. Which in this case won't allow the Reverse lights to turn on. Is there anyways to adjust this so that it works properly? I've had a few incidents with people that borrowing my truck that end up going the wrong way...

remove the plastic shroud, that is at the lower part of the column, (where it goes into the dashboard), and you will see the cable for the gear selector, adjustment is simple, put it in D (make sure it doesn't roll), loosen the screw and move the plastic slider to align the selector with D, hold it and tighten the screw, then move it to the other gears to check if it's aligned properly.
