About how long is the longest you could run a set of plug wires?
If they still perform good but have a lot of mi. on'em and look good too. I generally check everything over good at every 3000 mi. oil change. So if it ain't broke don't fix it????????
What are the best kind for replacements?
1989 F-150 300-6 M5OD 4x4 134,000 mi.

Depends on a number of things, underhood heat, being
one of the main things...but 60K miles is about as
long as I'd got...

I'd find a nice dark place, at night, and open the hood
with the engine running...see any lightning along any of
the wires??

Would recomend no longer than 50,000 miles.
My 98 has the stock wires at 72,000 and miss like crazy in the rain !!!
Cost over $100.00 to replace.
The 460 gets a set every 40,000 or two years. Only $40.00 a set of Ford Racing.
Just my 2 cents!!
