Two MAF Questions
How well does the MAF system accomodate engine mods like headers, cams, or slight compression increases?
Are the MAF air intake sensors interchangeable between different engines? For example, is the MAF in my vehicle interchangeable with one from, say, a 200 F-150 5.4, or a Lincoln 460?
For bonus points, can someoene explain in 29 words or less how the so-called 'learning process' in the EEC-V system works?
Thanks, Mr. Ford!

Very well, if you disconnect the battery while you're
doing the mods, the computer will relearn how the run
well all on its own...

The Lincoln never had the 460 with MAS FI, so that's
a null question...

In 29 words or less?? Maybe...
The ECU has a default program, with minimum timing,
fuel, and mixture values. While running the vehicle
those values are updated constantly, until the engine
is running within the parameters setup from the factory,
which is why you need a custom chip burned when you
exceed some of the parameters...
Is that clear enough??
