I have a 95 f150 4x4 and the rear leaf spring brackets are all rotted the driver side is so bad that the end of the leaf is on my bed. I got all the parts exept for the bolts. ford wanted $10 a piece. I figure that the hardware store would have the same ones for a lesser price. Anyone know what size I need and any other tips on doing this job would be great.
i think i used 7/16 grade 8 bolts with self locking nuts on mounts and 5/8?? bolts on the shackle and spring. Ford dealer said thats what they do. getting all the rivets out is a pain in the butt. i ended up buying a new spring because i had to cut the bolts off plus it was sagging a bit on the drivers side. i would buy every thing front mount, rear mount and shackle. They arent to badly priced and since it was all appart it didnt add to much work and it goes together easy with every thing new.
