I have been a member of this forum for 6 years. Met alot of great people here, learned an incredible amount of knowledge about the V10 and Fords in general. But the mighty V10 has a new home and new happy family of smiling kids to occupy it's cavernous spaces while enjoying the LCD TV's and the cool relaxing comfort of it's front and rear a/c's. I almost shed a tear as my pride and joy burbled out the driveway and drove away for the last time.
My kids were sad, we had many, many happy memories in the old gal. Countless soccer tournaments, camping trips with the bunk house travel trailer riding on the hitch while a multitude of kids amused themselves inside waiting to arrive. It's moved us 3 times, driven me to work everyday, never failing, never doing anything but providing comfort and power.
The new Mustang will provide the speed jones I had with the thumpin V10, but Mustangs are supposed to be fast. How many people did I shock with 20 feet of white bread box when I dropped the hammer on the 6.8 liter showing them my tail lights? Countless.
8,500 pounds on the hitch while we sailed through mountains and valleys, passing lesser vehicles up the many hills and mountain passes in Washington/Oregon, travel trailer jammed to the gills with supplies.
Ken - I think you need to get a 6.8L Class C motorhome, 'cause strangely enough, I've got an '05 Mustang and the wife drives an XL-7 {insert Twilight Zone music}

uh, are you somehow strangely connected to me in another dimension ? Our next purchase IS a class C motorhome. We go to so many soccer tournaments that we thought having a class C would be the perfect combo, besides having a handy vehicle for weekend getaways, trips to car races,,,,,, WOW, that is a little spooky,,,,
Mmmmm, would a v-10 fit in a Mustang?! I know how you felt, I had the same feeling when I sold my '62 18' Lyman boat that I owned for 20+ years. That "Just a Plywood Boat" (Alan Jackson?) song brings a tear to my eye when I hear it. Hang around and give us advice, you don't have to go anywhere. Your input is appreciated....Thanks, John
sorry to hear you also have had to sel your big v10 ken. but one thing for sure you and i can show some of these kids how bad they need to go to driveing schools.
