roller cam conversion
What year did 302 truck blocks come machined for use with roller rockers? I want to buy used roller lifters, a stock mustang HO cam, and a ford racing roller cam conversion kit for my 87 5.0 F-150. I heard that all ford 302 blocks were machined for roller lifters starting in 85 but am not sure. Also will the stock mustang cam work with my speed density computer or will I need to go to mass-air.

swapping to those parts isnt even worth the time! youd be rediculously dissappointed with the gains if any. you can use roller rockers regardless if its a roller cam or flat tappet. id say youve got a roller ready block. i know the 351 were changed to roller ready blocks in mid 93. now going roller is good but at least get a decent speed density cam to make it worth while. there are plenty out there that will work with the stock speed density.
