If its the 4R100 Trans you only need to remove the accumlator on the valve body...you can buy one complete or install your own kit...sonnex makes one, its different springs and is fairly easy to upgrade. but I have a Factory Tech and like the firm shifts

How can I find out what trans I have? where would there be markings? Also haw many different 4 speed autos came with this engine (5.4), in a F-250 SD 4X4..
it also depends on what shift kit you get. some only do things to the valve body. but other ones do things to the inside components also. which means you can only do if you are rebuilding.
