well here is my problem my 95 bronco 5spd is getting a new trannsmision and basically everything new, brakes got today for my trip down to virginia beach then ocala fl with my freinds and before my tranny blew the day before that my speedometer stopped working after one of my offroading trips. and i was wondering how in the world can i find out how to fix it and were the vss is, and exaclty how to get it out. please help, my trip is comming up soon and i would love to know how fast im going so i wont get caught by the coppers and also be able to use my cruise contol yes cruise on my 5 spd.

the sensor is located on the top of your rear differential. its also known as the rear abs sensor. its 20-30 at any parts store. but buy yours from ford, its a better part.

also depending on the type of wheeling you just finished up with, you should probably open the rear diff cover and replace the fluid. if there is water in there it can also cause the sensor on top to not function properly and of course ruin the rear end. notice if there is a limited slip that friction modifiyer will also need to be added when you put in the rear diff fluid.
