Alright, my truck ain't runnin at the moment so we've had to push it in and outta the driveway, but anyway, every now and then we'll push it forward into the driveway and I'll put it in park, put the parking brake on, and as soon as I take my foot off the brake pedal it starts rolling backwards...could it be a combination of a bad parking brake and a slipping transmission? or wut else?
your park brake might not be engaging fully or not adjusted -up enuff.when you put it in park it shouldnt move more than an inch or 2. so id look at the drive shaft when it wants to roll and see if its turning also.if it is then check to make shure your linkage is ajusted rite.if the d-shaft doesnt turn then theres issues with the rear axle

Worn plastic shift lever bushing on the bottom of the column and/or the transmission manual control lever. The transmission rod fits into these bushings. Broken, missing or worn bushings will cause to much slop, rod won't properly engage park.
Detent (also called a shift gate) on upper flange is worn. This is where the end of the shift lever fits. If worn, this causes the shift lever to not properly stay in place. The shift lever might be in the park position, but with a worn detent, there's nothing left to hold it there.
Broken parking pawl in transmission.
If the vehicle is in park and rolls, what does that have to do with the parking brake? Whatever is causing the truck to roll when in park, is in the steering column (a worn detent) or is transmission related.

well I know that, but does this mean I also have a problem in my parking brake too?
If the parking brake is set, and the truck still rolls, something is also wrong with the parking brake.
The adjustment for the park brake is underneath the cab. This is where the front park brake cable meets the two rear cables. There is an equalizer arm with an adjustable rod and nut.
