I was looking into getting a Predator but im Stuck between that one and the Edge Tuner. I have a full flowmaster exhaust. Does anybody have a recommendation for my set up.
Or even better yet does anybody have any hookups to get a good price?
Many here run the Edge(myself included), with great results. I love the heads up display, and the special contoured mount that comes free. The power isnt half bad either...
I have the SuperChips Microtuner and while I'm happy with it if I had to do it over again I would do the Edge for sure. Back when I bought mine the Edge was not available...I wish I would have waited now.

definatly get the edge, i have one and it is the best puchase i have made for my truck. i have a shaker ram air intake w/k&n filter, ford raceing headers, a coil kit, dual flows w/cutoffs. i run 7.7 0-60 w/ 34 goodyear mtrs and a 15.7 1/4 mile. i know this bc my edge can do 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. chech this out. i first had a hypertech and the edge blow it out the water.
If you search around you should be able to find a lot of helpful threads on this. The Edge tuner is a neat product with lots of doodad features, and the tuning is certainly an improvement over stock. However, I always recommend a BamaChips Xcalibrator 2 tuner. The hardware is MUCH more capable, allowing access to all areas of the PCM, so we can make changes to ANY parameter that could yield improvement. The tunes are also custom written to YOUR truck, based on your other mods, octane preference, and driving needs.
If you really want the best tuning, I would look into our BamaChips tuner. If you want the most features, look at the Edge.

My truck, with the Predator 93 octane tune, is going on a chassis dyno this afternoon. I will post the results tomorrow.

Wish I could attach a printout, but the printer wouldn't work. I had to leave in a hurry to make my tee time. Don't know what the torque figure was (all I remember is that it peaked early and then stayed pretty flat) but the horsepower figure was 228 at the rear wheels after a custom tune (218 before). I love my truck.
Total cost in Canadian dollars (now almost like USD) was $550 for the Predator and $400 for the dyno test and tune and $90 for the Green Performance air filter (which by itself added somewhere between 3 and 10 hp; different numbers on two different pulls). We didn't have time to run a stock tune base line, but you know what. I've kind of lost interest in the stock tune as part of the custom tune was leaning things out (a bit, not a lot) and my message center tells me that my fuel economy has improved what appears to be about 1 mpg.
Check out Diablosport's website. Any CMR dealer, and there are many of them in the U.S., should be able to achieve similar results.

Just note that the times they put out tend to be "optimistic" because they don't take into account side to side movement, wheel slip, etc. that are all factors in a true 1/4 run.

i was talking about all the power gain that i got from the edge not what my true 1/4 mile time was.
