I have a 2002 F250 7.3L superduty Crewcab 2wd. I pull a 11700 lb. Montana. I am thinking of using an exhaust brake. Hyper Diesel sells a Hyoer Brake. It is an electronic harness that uses the existing hardware. Has anyone used this device? $409 is a lot better than $2000 for a Pakbrake.
I would go with an exhaust brake like the BD or the Pac. You basically get what you pay for. I have a BD Brake on my truck for 4 years and have not had one single problem with it.
Like i said in another post. The EBPV brakes don't work as well at low RPM or low MPH.
I now have a BD turbo mounted exhaust brake. No comparison. better braking, lower numbers longer hold. and I think they are half what you said the Pacbrake was
