hey guys... here is one of the last things I have to fix on the fixer upper f350. Cruise doesn't work on it. I haven't ever messed with a non gasser cruise before. (used to install aftermarket units at a speed shop I worked at) Anyhow, how does it work on the PSD's so i can trouble shoot it or are there any common things to check. Fuses are all good. Thanks!! And also, got the Luk clutch kit on order.
To be honest with you, I don't know where the factory ground is, but here's what I did with mine:
Pull the center cover off your steering wheel. If you're sitting behind the wheel, pull the cover toward you firmly at about the same angle as the steering column. Be careful, because once you get the cover off, there's a harness with 3 or 4 flimsy little wires that needs to be unplugged from the center hub of the steering wheel before you can completely remove the cover (the cover has your cc buttons in it.)
After you get the cover off, flip it over and you'll see two screws on each end that hold the copper plate for the horn. What I did was take a small piece of wire about 5 in long and strip one end and put it under one of these screws. On the other end of the wire strip about 1.5" inches off and wrap the bare wire around one of the four metal bars that attaches the steering wheel to the hub. It might not hurt to use some electrical tape to hold it in place. Plug the little harness back in, pop the cover back on and see if she works.
yeah, i love it. cost's a lot less than any other options, filters better, easy to install, and makes that turbo whistle awesome. haha. That, the dp and 10k mod really woke the truck up for now. Of course you will get PMS if you do any of the mods and then it's on... I've got a clutch coming then the stage I injectors and custom chip.
