throttle body mod

hello, i have been told that if you take the coolant hose off of the throtle body, that it will help increase gas milage by kinda acting like a cold air set up. i dont want to do nothing until i see what the benifets or negetives are. if i did it i would just replace the heater hose and totaly bypass the throttlebody. thanks, allen t...

Did it on mine. Didn't notice a damn thing. Mileage was the same, power was the same as well. Set it back up to stock.

Not worth the hassle of even opening your hood. Of course, that is my opinion.

The TB cooler helps keep the TB cool, it dosn't really effect the air going in enough to do anything.
It probably helps prevent iceing also, if thats an issue.

The only way you will benifit with a coolant mod on the TB is to get the air going through to cool off very quickly. Which, you mine as well just put in a cold air intake at that point for cheeper.

i really dont think that the TB has much flow anyways. Every time i pull the lines off all i see is rust. If it had some real flow going on it wouldnt have a rust problem.
