hey everybody,
im looking for a cheaper way to make a lil power with a project i think i can do myself. i want to pull off the belt fan and put in a junkyard electric fan. i was wondering what would be the best fan to use, the best way to install/wire it, and how i should remove the old van; such as will removing the blades from the center hub work. any help would by great. thanks

I dont know about finding a used electric fan that can be made to fit...But you can buy universal el. fans at the parts store for about $50 that comes with everything you need and instructions.
Removing the old fan is easy: unbolt the fanshroud and slide it toward the engine over the fan, then unbolt the fanclutch/ rigid blade mount from the water pump pulley. remove fan + shroud.
This is a project ill be doing soon too, since Im missing the fan shroud with the consequence of insufficent cooling.
