How about an empty plug you can use without butchering your harness?

Behind the dash in the area of the headlight and wiper switches there is a flat yellow connector with 3 plug sockets in it. It will accept a round electrical plug. you can get the crimpon plugs at radio shack or an autoparts store.

The plug has key switched 12V

I just ran a wire off the battery into the cab for the constant for my radio. even put a fuse on it about a foot after the battery just incase.

if you dont want to do what ultimatereality said you could get you a long piece of battery cable and run into the cab with a big fused distribution block that way you would always have a safe constant 12v source that wouldnt burn your truck down one day.

Too add accessories always either draw directly from battery or from the FUSEBOX if you need power inside the cab- it is constant hot. Always use the appropriate fuse. GL
