Pnuematic Thingys?

Anyone have a part number for those pnuematic cylinder things that keep the rear hatch from falling on your head and really being a major PITA!!
Can I get them at the local autoparts place? Or do I have to visit my local Stealership?

Thanks in advance,

JB

I got new ones on ebay for the 2w/d as I wanted my 4 w/d window to stay up a little higher as I'm 6'1" and my head would hit. The 2 wheel drive version lets the window go a little higher.

Do a search for "liftgate struts" and you'll find the part numbers and where to buy them online even .

What did you search under on Ebay? I did a search for Ford "EX" liftgate struts and it came up empty...

I did not buy from this guy but he has a zillion good feedbacks note if you have a 2 Wheel Drive X the rear window will be very low if you buy the 4 w/d window lifts.

OK, Thx for replies!! Call me a dummy..But why is there a difference between the struts for a 4w/d and 2w/d? Shouldn't they be the same?

There is a 2" ride height difference between the 2 & 4WD, hence the longer struts.
