abs light

light came on right before going in for oil change dealer said needs new wheel speed sensor.took it back when sensor came in ,its was installed under warranty.next morning light back on.bring it in they said, they had it two days.new abs modual was installed, hope this does the trick they said.next morning light back on.they say they tested the wiring also.now i have to call again monday.the bad thing is i work 40 miles in the opposite direction.this dealer didnt sell me the truck and say that no car is avalible for loan.anyone have an issue with this sensor? is it just an act of kindness when a dealer loans you a car while they do warranty repairs?

I had an issue with that as well. But unfortunately the wrench or "limp home mode" and the Check Engine Light was also illuminated. The truck's front axle hubs and engaging system was failing. It left me stuck in front of a whole hell of a lot of Z71s but an F250 yanked me out.

By the looks of your s/n you have a 4x4 I would have them check the hubs and the engaging system. They ended up replacing my Transfercase and both hubs under warranty....GOTTA LOVE AFTERMARKET WARRANTIES!!!!

i had the same problem with my truck. abs light kept coming on. pep boys said "oh its your speed sensor". i replaced both the front sensors and still light kept coming on. i took it back to them and they said "oh they must be bad sensors". finally i took it to ford and it was the bearing in my front rotors. ford said even the the littlest of play in the bearing and it sets the speed sensor off. suck thing is my truck was not under warrenty so i had wasted 100 bucks replacing the sensors for nothing lol. have them check the bearings.

I don't have any idea about the ABS light. I have not had any experience with a problem like that. I can comment on the lowner car. I was in the middle of a trip and two fuel injectors stuck open. It was Friday at 5 o'clock when I had to have my truck towed. Called my insurance and they called the closet ford dealership. My truck was towed there and someone stayed later to give me a lowner car to finish my trip. I did not have to pay for the car. Also my truck was not under warrenty. There was no stipulation on the number of miles I could drive. They were aware that I was in the middle of a trip. All I had to do was bring the car back with a full tank of gas. It sounds like I lucked out and got a dealership that still cares about customers even if you did not buy a car from them. It would seem to me that because you have to go that far out of your way that they would atleast give you a lowner.

well they did give me a car finally.i didnt buy my truck there so it was nice of them.as for the light they say its fixed.they said the second connector away from the rear wheel speed sensor was causing improper load making it fault, they are very sensitive.they have somehow bypassed this connector.hope it works.i still have to check out what they did under there.

Well 4wheeldriver.
I had my truck arciced yet again and the also replaced my rear speed sensor. They called it usage or wear and tear. At 85.6 k on the clock they said that was normal since I use the 4x4 drive maybe 40 times a year and tow with it all the time.

well i looked for the connection today it looks like the bypass is on a connector under the drivers door on the frame.there is a plastic box covering 2 connectors fairly large connectors.one of those has wires bypassing it.im guessing that was the fix.the abs light has not come back on.

If a dealer will not give you a loan car for warranty repairs!!! That is bull. You should not have to suffer because they can't fix your car right... I would go higher up in the food chain in that dealer ship and get some results....
