Power Pulley?

Power Pulley?
I have a 92 f150 with a 351w. I am thinking about putting a power pulley on it but i doont know if its worth it or not. I was wondering what this would do for my horsepower if anything noticable at all. Any help is appreciated.

By Power Pulley I assume that you mean something March's performance ratio. This isn't a great idea for a street vehicle, because it underdrives all your accessories, like water pump, alternator and Power steering. You really can't afford to lose boost to any of these accessories, especially the alternator. March also makes a serpentine belt conversion kit, that drives everything at the stock ratio, except with wider, more stable and reliable serpentine belt. This will help smooth out the engine, but it will do very little for performance. A better upgrade would be to put on an electric fan, such a permacool 16". You'll enjoy the extra torque that your engine will get to keep instead of powering that heavy flyswatter fan. The kits are cheaper than the pulleys, $89 for the fan, and another $40 for a relay kit with an adjustable thermostat. TK
