mirror installation question

ok, got my new mirrors ordered, got 07 tow mirrors for my 02 f250. looking inside of the door i see 3 plugs, do i just pop those 3 plugs off and unscrew the old ones or is there another bolt or 2 behind the black piece? just want to be ready the minute they show up, hoping i dont have to pop door panels. im new to doing these things myself, i usaully pay people but with the assistance of the folks on this site, ill be doing alot myself from now on. this has got to be the most helpf\ul site on the net. thanx guys (and gals).

You dont have to remove the door panels at all, just the black shell located on the interior side of the door directly behind the mirror placement on the outside of the door. Un plug the stockers, un-bolt em, plug in the new ones and bolt 'em up.

Steve is right just pop the black piece off and the 3 bolts are inside the door shell, you will need a ratchet and extension.

If they are power mirrors you will need to remove the door panel to get to the connector it is lower and on the inside of the door frame below the window switches.

The black "caps" just pull off/out

On the door pannels

Push the black piece the switches are in forward and the front of it up at the same time then dissconnect the connectors and there is 1 screw toward the back of the opening next to where the arm rest starts.

Remove the lower courtesy light lens and find the second screw and remove it then the entire door panel slides up and off.

Dont forget to undo the connector for the courtesy lamp.

Just like Alan said on the door panel, up and off. No hidden panel compression pins, no special door panel removel tools.
