Cam Phasor Issues?

Cam Phasor Issues?
Does anyone here know what the side effects are of the ticking cam phasor problem? Is it just noisey or is it also robbing power or milage? Will it cause long term problems if its left alone?
I am trying to decide if I should have it replaced or not!

I am in the same dilema
will prolly be upgradign my 04 to an 09 next year or super duty and am wondering if i will have trouble selling with the tick.......
sounds just like an 80 small block lifter ticking to me.......and will soudn the same to the next buyer probably too.
Unless i give my dad a good deal on the truck
