My 1990 XLT has a fiberglass bed cap on it and I'd like to remove it. It's not like the truck is in good shape or anything, but I much prefer the look without the cap.
My question is: how much do these things usually weigh? I don't have the kind of space to rig up a pulley system, but I'm wonding if a couple people can pick it up and move it. Obviously I know you can't tell me about my specific cap, but I'm looking for general information here.
It'll be fun climbing into the bed too...the tailgate hinges are rusted away so I'll have to catch it before it falls on my feet. =)
Still fairly young at 27, not particularly strong thanks to bad knees and a crooked spine, but COMPLETELY stupid. Two out of three ain't bad so I might give it a go on my own.
