Running a small amount of propane to help with mileage is ok, and quite a few folks have done it with great success. However if you are looking for big power gains from it, be warned. Propane can easily destroy your engine if you aren't careful. Remember it is a fuel, and will detonate. Your injectors squirt fuel into the combustion chamber at a precise time. Propane is drawn in and is already present during the compression stroke. Too much and you'll leave bits and pieces of your engine behind you because of early detonation.

You would probably get more information on this down in the 7.3L forum. Go back to the main forum page and scroll down a little bit farther to find it.

Or maybe in one of these....

Diesel/Competition <== Probably your best choice
Performance, Engines and Troubleshooting/Performance and General Engine Building
Performance, Engines and Troubleshooting/Supercharger / Turbocharger / Nitrous Oxide
