underdrive would be better...
Not to be a smart A here, but in my opinion, the best modification that you can make when towing is in your own approach to how you drive.
Drive like you are driving something that does not handle, stop or accelerate as well as the average passenger car. Drive as per your states towing laws, which generaly, but not always mean that ANY traler towing requires following truck driving rules as to maximum speed, which lanes you can travel in, and so forth.
Here in Washington state any vehical towing any trailer in limited to 60 mph, and cannot travel in the left lane in any circumstances on a three lane freeway, the left lane is premitted to only short term passing on a two lane freeway. Oregon in even more restictive, with a maximum legal limit of 55 mph. Certainly not all states are this restrictive, but it is good to know your states laws, as well as those states laws that you will be traveling in before you get a agravating ticket. Nothing spoils a vacation more than either a sick kid or a up front and personal visit from the police.
Enjoy your summer ! David
