Well wiring is 90% done gauges have started going in ,engine is sitting pretty and tranny is completely apart.Hopefully It will start up by the first of the year.Had some minor setbacks with intake but I think they are resolved. Need a fuel pump and some new lines along with radiator/heater hoses. And she should purrrrr...
Soooo sweeet! Where did you get the chrome alternator bracket and alternator pulley dress up thing (chrome thing on the pulley) ? I want them for my truck.
Summit alternator.also got brackets from them.Had to do some mods and shimming but was not to hard..Give summit site a search easy to find.Let me know if you need help finding.
Very nice truck and engine work you are doing , that is exactly what I want my truck to sit like , I have a mild drop now and out of work , need funds to rebuild some day , good job .
I wish I had more time in my life for the things I like to do rather than need to do
So far I have totally rewired computer to MAF SEFI and I remote mounted the TFI module.Fabricated the supercharger to work on this motor.
Completely tore down transmission and have a nice kit on order whicjh will include a 9.5 inch 3000 stall converter.
I have got most of the gauges wired in but need to finnish up on these.
Just ordered all the stainless heater hoses and radiator hoses so I can put front clip back on.
But hearing this thing run for the first time was nice..I almost dont want to put front clip back on..Looks kinda nice without it..
Been a long tedious $$$$$build. I converted to MAF,remote mouted TFI while rewiring the computer and sensors.Added supercharger with custom brackets/pullys that I made.Rebuilt transmission with a 3500 stall and installed cooler. She pulls real hard will find out friday what it puts down at dyno shop.

It depends on if you have a/c or not.My truck is an a/c delete truck,so all it has is heat, which makes it easier to get to the heater core.On my truck,I decided to take the whole heater box out of the truck, because it was so hard to reach the inner bolts, and everything in my heater box was rusted,so it woulda been near impossible to pull out the heater core.Basically, take your time, and think it over before you rush into it.Good luck.
I have A/C and my heater core was easy. Remove glove box door, remove cover panel on heater box, disconnect hoses and remove the core. Installing the new core was a bit tricky, but only took me a few minutes longer to finagle it back in than it did to get it out.
Thanks For advice. I was able to get it out today wasnt to bad.
I am thinking I want Ac so I got Some research to do.
Man that unit takes up alot of space. Looks much nicer without it and no fender well.
