I am looking for a web site to help me choose the right size wheel and tire for my ’60 Ford F100.
I am looking to put on the thinnest whitewall tires I can. And I would like the rear tires to be larger diameter than the front to get a slight lowered look.
Is there some place that can help me choose the right sized wheels and tires?
1960 F100's are 15" 5 lug, 5.50 bolt circle as original. The thinnest white walls made were 1/4" in the late 1960's. I doubt you will find that width today. The latest w/w tires were/are 1/2" wide. See Lucas Tire's website for a source of thin line w/walls. As original, 1960 Ford's had a w/wall tire width of 2 to 2 1/2 inches.
