I'm looking for a good tire for mostly on road use that is 37", has a high load capacity, and is for a 16" rim (that's the hard part). Anybody have an ideas? I know that Super Swampers would work, but for 95% on road use on a daily driver would probably not be a good fit.
Toys are what I really want, but they don't make a 37" tire for a 16" rim. I don't want to get new rims. I have a new set of 16x10 M/T Classic IIs already in my garage.
I was in the same boat. I had 16x8 Xtreme Alloys and 37" Iroks. Tires lasted 20K< and then I said screw it and sold the wheels and tires to upgrade to 17s.
I went with the Mazzi Hulks and 37x13.5x17 Toyo M/Ts. Best tire I have ever run and only $269/ea.
I might start looking into 17" or 18" wheels, but I also might just stick with a 4.5" lift and 35s. Only a 2.5" difference overall. I have heard great things about Toyo, so those are the tires I'm really gunning for. Nice X Jeepincj7!

Why would any real American put a Japanes tire on a FORD?
I wonder how much of ford is actually american anyways...?? I really don't know??
But those tires are simply the best tires...hands down. I don't know any other style of tire that lasts 40-50k and is load rated?? Plus it is quiet on the highway.

Because I've had them all. I tried the Toyo's, and IMO, they are a superior product. Oh, and an American person is getting paid by a Japanese company to make them too because they have MADE IN USA stamped right in the sidewall. But I guess that makes me less of an American, keeping American's working and fed?? Get a grip dude......

IIRC, the only "American" tire makers left are Goodyear and Cooper. There are several that are foreign owned but manufacture in the USA - Michelin, BFGoodrich (owned by Michelin), Firestone (owned by Japanese Bridgestone), General is owned by German Continental, etc.
BTW, my '07 SD came with Pirelli tires. My previous '04 Heritage came with BFGoodrich, while Dad's 04 new style F150 came with Hankook.
That is a lot less, but even 4WP parts price of $1,650 was quite abit less than any of the Alaskan dealers. The cheapest off-road/tire shop up here wanted $1,800.
