Heat Sheilds
I own a 93 F150 with a 5.0l engine.
I just noticed that there is a broken heat sheild that protects the plug wire ends just on top of the manifold. Should I replace this or can it just be tossed with no consequences?

It might lead to your wires failing early . But I trashed them on new manifold install as they rusted out. I notice no problems 30000 miles but I can my wires every 2 years or 30000-45000 miles.
