Question on reputation points ???

So I look at how people have rated me on my user CP, and I see different color boxes before the thread that they are commenting / rating me on, I have to believe that this shows disaproval or approval, but I see three different colors?

Where can I find the ledgend for the different colors, or is this something that is top secret?

Thanks, David

Red for a real low point total. Below zero.

I just looked at mine, I have a grey from someone that i commented that I like to nap and fish......They didn't even leave a comment on my rep...Interesting...At least I'm not below zero......I think

So you have 2 options: 1 approve 2 disapprove. You get the gray when someone leaves a disapprove on the post? How do you get the red? I think I want one now.

The grey is from someone who doesn't have enough posts for their opinion to "officially" count. After a person has enough posts, an approval leaves a green box and adds to your rep total, disapproval leaves a red box and subtracts from your rep total.

So, what are the points for? Is it just a general measurement of how we are perceived by our fellow posters, or is there actually some set goal behind the points? Do people get banned if they get enough bad reps, or do they get some reward for a lot of good reps?

For somebody to give out negative rep points is just .If I see something I dont agree with I just and move on.There is no sense in bashing them for it or .They have their opinion, and I have mine.I joined FTE to enjoy the info, the humor, and the great bunch of people who make this site .I did not join just to bash other people. So,like I said its to give out neg points!

Oh,and if you you will see on page 3961,paragraph 6,section2b,subsection 4u,line 17 states=All members are required to give King Triton large amounts of POSITIVE rep points,so that he may become like Mil1ion.A splendid one to behold!
