Rig build up

Pics of the new ride in my gallery under supercrew. Got a lot done but still tons to do. Rear shackle reversal, body lift, front spring hangers, some motor work, PTO winch, front bumper, gear change, etc. etc. I want to be up and running by mid August

How much work did it take to mount the 70 on the 79 frame? There was a thread on here not long ago, where a few of us were wondering, body mount locations and all that?

I am hoping to maybe someday do that to my truck. Just need to find a 73-79 crewcab in my budget. Are you going to shorten the bed, flatbed it, or what?

The mounts for the radiator support and the front of the cab were the same. I think the rear cab mounts would be the same if it were a regular cab. I'll have to fab some mounts for the rear.

I was going to shorten the box, but its in pretty rough shape so I'll probably put a little flatdeck on

That will be an awsome family rig when it gets done!! I know that most trail/rock guys like the small 4x4's, but I'd rather see the big trucks in the mud!

It will seat 5 people. One reason I'm building it is there is always a shortage of seats for passengers when my buddies go wheeling. Now I'll be guaranteed a spot. It will only be used for trails/mud.

Nice rig! I don't think I've ever seen a crewcab that old before. Where did you find it?

It was laying out in the woods behind a friends house. I bought it for a few parts for my DD. The cab is in pretty rough shape. I think it is a 71 or 72 I just put the older grille on because it looks mean

That's my exact dream truck except with an 80's model(they're alot more prominant in the yards)what frame is that?CC SC or what?Anyone know if I can get a PTO setup off an NP205 to bolt up and function on my 83 Bronco with an NP208?I'm assuming it's got a 208 behind that C6?Could it be a 205?Keep posting the pics...I like.....

Your 83 bronco should have a 208 if it's stock, they switched to the BWs around 86 about the same time as the switch from the 9" to the 8.8".
