went to install reman IP & new delphi injectors & in pulling old ones out #6 took an 18" bar with another 15" of pipe to get loose hole was full of crud. turned crank clockwise by hand to 5 o'clock to get #6 to tdc & blew thru gp hole till I got clean air. put all injectors in left out gp's turned crank to 7 o'clock where it quit turning I thought it would turn to line up the #1 timing mark at tdc why did it quit rotating. btw 5 injectors were BB, 1B,1C & 1D will all the new one since they are all BB's improve the way it runs?
dave, I got it to turn with the bar from about 2 oclock to 5 then stopped to blow the crud out with #6 at tdc after she started passing clean air I went to turn 'er to #1 tdc & got to about 7 oclock when she stopped turning & the crank bolt actualy started to tighten about 15* before I stopped.
dave I sprayed pb into all gp holes & let soak overnite still wouldn't turn forward but did turn backwards 1/4 turn then put air to each gp hople till clean air can out agian now she turns clockwise agian turned 1 plus full turns till #1 tdc put all inj's, gp's & pump back in will try to start today timing should be right or off 180* correct?
Do not try to start it with the GPs in the engine yet......if you put PB blaster or any liqiud in roll it over by the starter if you have successfully rotated the crank by hand 2 revolutions. If there is liquid still in the cylinder you can hydrolock and bend a rod.

SHE BE RUNNING timings a little off still & slow to start but since she does start & idles she cant be 180* off right? And should make it over to be timed right.
