What Motor do you have, 2 or 4 wheel dr. how much does the Pontoon Boat way? All this is helpful, does it have stock motor, or upgraded cam etc. If you run true duals i think that will kick it up a little, helped me abunch, but if you tell us more bout you truck the "real" tech guys can help you 'bunches'

Try also to let us know what gear ratio - transmission and if you have larger tires than stock.

Everything has to work together to do the job, a weak engine, poor trans choice, wrong gear ratio or big tires can all individualy adversly affect towing prowlness.

I dont know much about the gearing in the rear end. I quess it is stock. It is a 4x4 with a stock 302 fuel injected. It also has 31 inch tires. I just changed wires and plugs. I think they have never been changed, at least I know the wires was never changed. Hope that will help some.

their is a tab on your rearend, if its all "oily" get some carb or brake clean, spray the tab that you see "should be on the top of your axle, its rectangular" with your fluid and then get a rag, let it soak while you go get a rag, then spray it one more time again. Then ruff it up with your thumb a little, and rub it also with the rag, you should start to see some numbers like 3.00 or 3.L55 or 4.11 and numbers like that. Their is also other numbers but theis numbers should be right in the top/middle part of the tag or top/right of this tag. Hope this helps, you can also put headers, and a full true dual exaust and a K"N air filter and that alon will fill up to 20 HP, guys, if i missed anything or missworded please reword them for me......

A 302 is a small engine, so don't expect much and don't get in a hurry. It will make it, only slower. That's the price you pay for the decent gas mileage you probably get now.
