300 six into a 1985 Bronco 11
Got a chance to buy a 300 six (4.9) litre and its in super condition, but its out of a 93 F150. I hear this would be an excellent 4x4 engine and it will pull just about anything along. I want to put this into my 1985 bronco 11 because my 2.8 is smoking and bit the dust...can this be done easily or is it a big job? anybody? I have already swapped in a 5 speed standard trans from my 88 Bronco 11 into the 85 with the 2.8, a mitz. th 85 B2 was an automatic. Its been kind of a dog since that. Anyway I would like to retain the drive train and swap to this engine.Ideas. thanks

4.0? might as well get a 302, I am sure you can find the parts easier.
James Duff makes conversion kits.
Okay they make 4.0 kits too. Hey a 351 sounds good too.
Have fun with the swap. I have to look for a 460 for my FSB!

Thinking a 4.0 would be a little easier on the wallet. Hmmm...However, I guess its a question of availability of those and the associated parts like you say. They came in Mustangs did'nt they?
