Many repeat problems before 30K miles... turbo - tranny - etc...
and a GOOD relationship with the dealer that went to bat for me and handled all the paperwork - but he DID get to sell me a new 03 Ex at his cost
anyone know a place where i can purchase 2nd row captain seats.will they bolt right into stock locations?
Hi. I've also been looking for the 2nd row captains chairs, i've got a 2001 Excursion. One guy mentioned that Lincoln Navigator 2nd row captains chairs might fit.
Every once in a while some will come up on ebay, but I dont want to make the jump unless I know I can fit them in. One seller mentioned I would have to "make" brackets.
Keep us posted if you make some progress or headway.
I have an 00 Excursion.... I don' think captains chairs were an option. Does anybody know if they can bold in?
Glad someone replied. I called a Dealership, and based on a 2001 Excursions, supposedly, every Excursion has the same flooring and bolt patterns. So there should be holes for bolts for 2nd row Captains chairs.
I dont recall now if he checked for or mentioned 2000, but seemed like 2001 and forward it was the same.
He said the way to check would be to lift the rug and look underneath, or to take a pin and poke at some specific points (He gave specifics of how many inches away from current bolt patter, but I didn't write it down.)
He also said that if you get somethng from Ebay or anywhere else, to get the seat track hardward along with it.
I called a place on the Internet that kind of implied they had Captains chairs that fit Excursions, but the Technician said they would not match the existing bolt pattern, and new drilling would have to be done.

I have been reading the forums for a while and I am in the process of adding captains chairs to the second row of my 2000 excursion. I am going to mount them on pedastals so they can rotate towards the back facing the 3rd row. I got the idea from the 2008 chrysler minivan. let me know what you guys think of that. Am i just crazy? I want to be different.
I've got an 02 Limited with the two-tone leather (tan & dark brown, I think) captain's chairs in the second row...I might trade if I could find a matching two-tone bench--I'm just particular that way.
I have second row captains that I bought on ebay last year and installed them in my 2000 Excursion. I had to drill two new holes to accomodate the drivers side seat. I have heard that the newer Excursions do have the holes already and drilling is not required. One problem I did run into though is that the holes from the bench seat are then exposed. I just fixed that tonight though. I bought a piece of carpet and layed it in under the seats. I think it looks pretty good. The seats are awesome though. Makes getting in, out, and around the truck a lot easier.
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I traded my Excursion in on an F150 and pulled the seats out first so that I could sell them. I have them listed on eBay. Here is the link:
