Need Tranny HELP PLEASE!!!
Hey I am a proud owner of a 2000 F-150 Lariat w/ the 5.4 and automatic. Well my problem is that when I went to get on the interstae the other day I was runnin 65 MPH and I put the throttle to the floor to go into passin gear and it slowed all the way down to 45-50MPH and 3,000 RPM and wouldn't go any faster. THe pedal was to the floor.. Soo I FINALLY got it back to my shop and I drained all the fluid out of the tranny and the torque Converter. Well I was drivin around town the other day and I decided to see if it would do that samw trick again and it did but when I let off the throttle it was fine like nothing happened... WHat is gonin on here.. I need some help please!! The truck has 75,000 miles on it and has been taken care of.. Any help would be great thanks
