I recently rebuilt and installed a 1995 f150 5.0 roller engine in my 79 F-100 and have a few questions.
1. Are the stock pistons forged, cast, or hyper?
2. What are the horsepower and torque figures for this engine?
Any help to my questions would be greatly appreciated.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
i might be purchasing a 1995 5.8 f-150 from my dad in a few weeks and i was interested in finding engine stats. i went to ford.com and set up a "my ford" account with the VIN to the truck. this is what i got:
Series: XL
Bodystyle: REGULAR CAB PICKUP, 4WD
Engine: 5.8 LTR. 8CYL GAS NORMAL FI 205-210 HP
i find it strange that the 5.8 would have the same hp as the 5.0, i'm just wondering if your stats are correct and if so, if you would know where to find the correct stats for my engine.
hey the pistons in a 302 H.O. are all trw forged pistons so they might be the same. also the heads on the motor u have probably have all that smog crap. get some new heads and let that thing breath.
