It is a programming feature of the SCT Xcal2 unit. It has an option to have it on your towing program if you want. There have been a few folks here that has reported on it and how they liked it. Other than that you will find, if you search here, that any other approach is an issue with the motor.

When you ask about a Jake (Jacobs) Brake...are you talking about a true Jake Brake that is on top of the head controlling the valves like on a Class 7/8 truck or a PacBrake like you can bolt into your exhaust that will cause back pressure? A PacBrake looks like a carb butterfly in the exhaust pipe. A Jake Brake is under the valve covers and is a hydraulic device that controls a valve that effects the compression of the motor...I don't understand enough about a Jake Brake to explain how exactly it works.
