My 1993 Ford F150 with the 302 has been running rough lately like struggling to stay running right after startup and missing while driving down the road. I have recently replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and wires. I can hear the pumps come on when I turn the key to run and Im pretty sure I have good fuel pressure. I have searched this forum and I see alot of people with similar problems, but alot of ideas are thrown around and not too many people post good results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Fuel filter is brand new. And sorry, I didnt mean that people give bad replies, I just meant I havent seen any of the people with the problem post that they fixed their problem.
It could be a hole bunch of different things or a combination of several. And most people don't give a real good description of the problem or what they have done to fix it. There for I ask these questions to help eliminate things it could be that the OP didn't say. It could be as simple as cleaning the injectors or just running some cleaner through the fuel system. And generally when someone gets there rig fixed they are so happy that they forget to tell us what the problem was. Or even thank those that helped.
Timing is computer controlled isnt it? If it was fine before it should still be fine now.
Before what? Did ya do something and then it stared running like this?
It may be a worn timing set or a crank sensor. Ya won't know till ya check the timing.

Not me. Maybe try asking in the engine forum. Dose it have something like a cold start temp sensor that tells it what the temp outside is. So the computer can give it more gas for cold start. I have replaced several on GM rigs that where telling it that it was -60F below. Never on a ford yet.
No, on fords they have an idle air control valve (IAC) that bypasses the butterflies in the throttle body to control idle and startup depending on the temp. Im not sure how it measures the temp tho, if its by another sensor sending info to it or by the valve measuring it itself. Thanks for the replies, I will try the engine forum like you said.
