Brake system noise
I am on a vacation trip to Georga. Yesterday my water pump went out on my F-250 1999 super duty deisel. i had to struggle into the trailer park with out brakes and steering. I took it to a local ford dealer na d had the pump and belt replaced. Now the brakes are making a horrible noise when applied and some when just running along. The noise sound like a bad power streeing pump. The mechanic said it was the brake booster and it would need to be replaced. He did not offer to replace it. Now it is making a huge amount of noise. What do i need to do. Help

Well good that you found it. Another thing that tech was probably new in the field also. Make sure you have power steering stop leak too because thats a little cheaper than a new power steering pump.
