battery cable ends

I talked with my local battery store and he said he could probably sell me copper replacement cable endings for $3 a piece. Is this probably all I will need based on the pic? I will post pic of other battery in a minute.

Not cool bro..... Yor truck looks tired and beaten. Where's the rest of your airbox at? I would go have new cables and ends put on if I was you. Ditch that filter, i think i saw a K&N label on the end of it. Get rid of it before it gets rid of your turbinator

I just bought it Tuesday and drove it back home over 700 miles and it ran great. Why should I get rid of the K/N filter? The previous owner has had ther for quite awhile. Can't I put new cables and ends myself instead of taking it somewhere to get raped by the overcharging that almost everyone seems to do.

You should slap the previous owner then for treatin that truck like that. Well, you could but I would buy new cables as well as ends. Those cables you have look tired. Any Battery post terminal clamp will work. I like the dual feed ones that came factory cause their stout. You can go to shcuks, napa, autozone, where ever and get some battery terminals. The K/N filter lets to much dust and dirt into the motor which can cause major motor and turbo problems later down the road. If i was you I would go with the napa 6637 filter setup. Good luck

I definitely want to replace cables and ends but no one has yet to advise where to buy these. I have the original filter setup that came with the truck from the factory. Should I just go back to that? Why is the K/N not good but has a lifetime warranty? Thanks for helping and advising me, I need it.

The original filter is just as bad as the k/N. They both allow dust to enter the engine. Go with the tymar intake setup. You can make one yourself with a napa filter and a chunk of pipe.

Check out your local auto parts store, you can get the stuff you need for you batt cables there.

I went to Advanced auto parts and they don't carry the positive cable, go figure. SO the Tymar allows absolutely no dust?

Call them see what they say. You got a fugged up local batt shop if they dont make batt cables, lol. If no luck with the local auto parts stores then try a local stereo shop. They to should be able to make you a set of batt cables for a reasonable price. Good luck

I guess I'll try more auto parts stores today for positive and negative cables. I'm kind of surprised that it is this hard to find them. I mean it is a Ford not a Jag or Bentley!

When I do finally get them is this going to be a pretty straight forward job or is there some tricky parts to it?
