Pertronix II

Anybody have any experience with the PertronixII. I am currently running points on a stock ford distributor and was wondering if the upgrade was worth while. I am not looking for better fuel economy or anything like that. My main concern is going faster in the 1/4 mile. Or maybe i should upgrade to a MSD box and distributor. The application is a 89 ford f150 with a carbed 351W and it will currently run mid 14's. Also, the engine never sees anything over 5500 rpm. Anybody upgrade to either or used both of these systems and noticed consistent drops in ET. Thanks in advance.

If you're looking to save cash go with the petronix. Looking for more power go with the MSD and a aftermarket dizzy. Both are great improvements over points and will give you noticable improvements, however i would reccomend the MSD if you can afford it. Dont forget to upgrade your coil either way.
