I have a '74 flatbed dump truck (It might be 2 1/2 ton but not really sure) and it has a 370 4 valve Lima motor in it with a Holley 4 bbl carb.
What is a Lima motor and is the Holley stock?
first if it's really a 370 it's not stock in that truck (the 370s didn't come out till 79) it's also not a 4 valve motor, thats probably 4V which stands for 4 venturi carb I.E. 4 barrel. And Lima is the name given to the 370/429 medium duty truck engines after the Lima Ohio plant.
The Holley is most likely the original carb...probably a Model 4180, which was basically a Model 4160, List 1850 carb that was significantly modified by Holley for Ford starting in 1979.
Just out of curiosity, does your carb have a governor? I've only ever worked on one F-600, and it's been so long I can't remember whether it was governed or not.
