Painless power module.

I dont know if I need to post this here or in the chip/tuner section but here goes. I Just bought a 2000 F250 7.3 ltr engine that has a Painless power module installed on it. Should I leave it or take it off. I have played around with the settings from FE (fuel economy) mode all the way up to HO (High Output). Runs like a gut shot penquin in FE mode but will peal the skin off of your face in HO mode. Will it hurt the engine to leave it on or no?

Any gauges? Got to have a EGT gauge...

No, no EGT gage anywhere. What's the risk if I dont have one and where can I get one?

On a truck with a chip or tuner EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temp) can get very high very quick. Over 1250* for very long and you risk melting a piston.
