I used to work at a Diesel Truck Alignment shop and yes a good shop will be able to do your axle bending but go by a place like your local kenworth/ peterbilt/ volvo dealership that works with big trucks and ask them they best alignment shop there will not be many shops total but you need a good shop. And I don't think it will be cheap cause its not an exact science of bending an axle. Also as far as truing up a tire we did lots while I worked there but only on tires that had weird wear patterns from bad alignments or bad balancing a brand new set of tires would never need to be trued up.
As far as the old days from what I understand tire technology sucked back then but then again look what has happened to some of the better tire companies in the last few years.
I think I am gonna find me a truck tire shop and see if they will fix my BFG's!
I am guessing they went out of true from the worn suspension that came with the car. (I replaced everything since)
