I know I am still missing the triangular gusset. So the bracket welds to the side of the door pillar and the triangle then? And then I drill a hole through it?
While I am at it, the cab plate below the floor gets welded in too?
I have been doing a lot of searching for pictures and articles on rust repair in this area, as my truck is badly rusted in the front cab corners. The links below shows the repair that you are doing. the truck in this picture is being built by the Roadster Shop and is covered by a series in the Classic truck Magazine. Also there are some pictures of this repair in a few of FTE members galleries.
I wish that I was as far along as you on the rust repair. If you look closely at the first picture you can see that the triangle is sandwiched between the toe board and (not shown here) the front cab corner.
